Our Ponies are not just for breeding and showing, we use
them on the farm, work includes rounding up sheep, pulling
wood, and helping to feed the sheep in winter. They can get
to places that you can't reach on a quad bike.
The ponies are trained for riding here on the farm and
combine breeding and riding, all of the ridden ponies are used
to heavy traffic. They can often be seen from the road grazing
in the fields. It is not all work, I enjoy going for a relaxing hack.
This is Inglegarth Rose Maree helping to move part of a tree.

Rosie happily took a dozen pieces of tree across to the barn for us. As you can see
she isn't wearing blinkers and doesn't mind the tree following her at all !

This is Rose Maree again in the sheep pen.

Inglegarth Agnes with some sheep
We keep our own stallions which makes life much easier than taking mares
away to stud. Inglegarth Premier was bred by us out of Inglegarth Illustrious.
Although our stallion was bred here he is not related to any of the
mares that he is bred with.

Inglagarth Premier /Davy is also broken to ride but so far has done very
little under saddle November 2009 Davy resumed life under saddle as
though he had done it every day of his life.

Our younger stallion Inglegarth Renaissance /Moss is not yet broken to ride he is 5 years. He is out of Inglegarth Agnes.
First two foals by Inglegarth Renaissance colt and filly Inglegarth Showtime and Inglegarth Belle.

Our two original older broodmares were both bred on the Fell in Cumbria and carried old and traditional breed lines. Davy is the grandson of one of them. Moss is the great great grandson of the other mare.
